Nettle Leaf
Urtica dioica
Nettle is a mineral-rich plant that is great for teas, in soups, foods and can be used as a natural dye. Has tonifying qualities and helps to cleanse the blood from environmental toxins, and can help treat anemia, poor circulation and enlarged spleen. Good for UTI’s, dryness in skin, brittle nails and hair. Nettle has diuretic qualities.

For tea, can either be made into a tea by pouring a 1 cup of boiled water over 2 tablespoons of leaf and letting the leaves steep for ten minutes, or by making a stronger infusion by letting it simmer for 30 minutes to an hour on the stove. Can drink hot or put in the fridge once infused to drink cold.
